Galapagos journals Day 17

 Dear diary,

Another day, another beach. Today we went to Playa La Loberia (or the Sea Lion Beach) and it was amazing! I hope you are not getting tired of me describing everything as amazing. Sorry diary but it is, I can't lie, it's the only word I can find to describe the places we've been and the things we've seen these last few weeks.

Anyway, back to today's beach. La Loberia had awesome snorkelling - sea lions, sea turtles and loads and loads of fish. As it's often the case in the Galapagos, there were many sea lions on the beach but these ones were a little bit naughty: one came over and sat on top of our bags and shoes, barking at Ioanna every time she approached to get a bag back. I have to say, it was kind of funny but also a little bit annoying. Ioanna's shoes suffered the most as the sea lion sat on them and refused to get off. But, in the end, she sneaked up on him (I am sure it was a 'him') and took them back.

It was very nice to snorkel alone with Ismene as soon as we reached the beach. It felt free and fun, exploring, just the two of us. There were so many fishes and I loved diving down and videoing them for the very first time (it's usually Dan who takes the videos with the GoPro). So with no further ado, here are today's top animals:

Tomorrow, we are going for a 360 tour of the island and hopefully we will see big sharks (maybe hammerheads?)
